Clearwater Lakes are set in a stunning tranquil location in the heart of rural Brittany away from the hustle and bustle of everyday city life.
The complex is situated within 28 acres of dense forest , which surround and overhang the margins of two mature spring fed lakes. - View Site Plan
Spring Lake (10 acres) has easy access to numerous swims and boasts a good head of fish including mirrors and commons from doubles to 60lbs. Numbers are restricted to 8 anglers
Mill Lake (3 acres) holds a stock of 250 carp, ranging from low doubles to mid 20's with pike, perch, tench and rudd also in the lake. Fishing is exclusive to a maximum of 2 anglers (ideal for beginners) allowing each angler 2 rods with fishing permitted from dawn to dusk, making it an ideal 'runs' water. The Mill Lakes season runs from March to September.
Mill Lake, 3 acres is an ideal ‘runs’ water holding a stock of 250 carp weighing up to mid 20’s, with the lake record currently 26.8lb. Fishing is exclusive to 2 anglers allowing each angler 2 rods to fish from dawn to dusk. The lake has varying depths from 5 to 15 ft with lily pads to fish to and with overhanging margins, which give you the excellent opportunity to go stalking. Other species of fish in the lake include pike, perch, rudd to 4lb and tench.
You can choose to bivy up at the lake or if you prefer you can hire The Cottage for the week and stay in comfort (please see Cottage page for further details). The Anglers Kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster etc plus all kitchen utensils. It’s free to use and an ideal place to socialise with the other anglers, talk tactics, discuss catches and enjoy a meal.
The season commences March and finishes mid September with the price for 2006/7 being £300 / €450 per week for the lake (not per angler), which includes permits and use of facilities.
