Welcome To Lac Serreire & Badger's Holt - The Ultimate Carp Fishing Experience in France
This stunning two lake venue, open since 2003, is set in the beautiful Limousin countryside just 20 miles south of the regions capital Limoges and its international airport.

Owned and operated by highly respected carp angler Bob Davis, Lac Serreire is the ultimate French carp fishing venue. We have two superbly stocked lakes available to fish. Lac Serreire itself is 20 acres in size and has a stock of carp up to the mid 50lbs. Badger's Holt is the smaller of the two in size only! This is predominantly a big fish water with last years biggest catch coming in at 60lb 4 ounces!

Lac Serreire - The largest of the two lakes at 24 Acres.
This beautiful and well stocked 24 acre lake holds stocks of carp up to the mid fifties. In this prolific water the average weight is steadily rising. By the start of the 2008 season the average weight will be in the mid thirties.

The Large Lake is available for up-to six anglers per week including the use of a chalet cottage equipped with all the necessities to make your stay a comfortable one.

This is an ideal venue for the angler who likes to take on a challenge and offers an excellent opportunity to top that personal best.

Stocks in this lake currently include:
Carp up-to 50lb
Catfish up-to 70lb

Boats for pontoon anglers are available to hire and bait boats are allowed on the water.

Badger's Holt - One of the most prolific 40's waters in France
Welcome to Badger's Holt. The smaller of the two lakes in size alone. This water has gone from strength to strength since it was first opened to the public. This is predominately a "Big Fish" water and expectations have been rising year on year.
An average angler could expect to land 20 fish during a weeks stay
Experienced anglers could well land 30 or more!
There are many 30's, 40's, 50's and even some 60's in this lake, so anybody planning to visit Badger's Holt should know what to expect!

There is a chalet on the banks of Badger's Holt for the use of anglers

  1. hiya wen i first went to lac serrie in october 2008 we went on badgers holt it was a tuff time one of the lads had a 43lb common its was a stunning fish but that all we had that week but we fought we need to come back and catch that big one we come back the following year may 2009 and fished lac serrie we gt there packed up baited up caught a reli good head of thrities and a good head of twenties bt we waited and there it come one of my freinds caught a 50lb common on my rod coz i fell asleep btg o welll bt then it cum to the last day twelve oclock friday day night jst having sumthing to eat and my rod screamed off i hit it it took me all over the lake i wa thinking was the bloody hell is this 20 mins later still reeling in finaly after 40 mins of fighting it i got it in weighed it 55lb i couldnt belive it lac serrie is one of the most experience fishing venue iv been on reli enjoyed being there nice people and ill be comming back

It is currently possible to fly from six separate UK locations to Limoges airport courtesy of low cost airlines Ryan Air and Flybe. It should be noted however that some routes do not operate in the winter months.
