me and my mate have booked peg 22 for tomorow night but dono if it is a good peg and not shure what bait to use and sugestions pleas let me know and if we catch somthing i will be postiong what we caught

fished newbridge for 3 years and had just bream but no carp does smelly bait work or would fake corn be better all tips r welcome

Hi never fished this venue before and i have booked on for the beginning of april i have booked peg 34 and was just woundering if anybody has and tips on best baits to use or rigs

Fished here yesterday for the night, night was fishless with no runs, start of the day was slow with 1 medium mirror early in the morning, two more commons followed with 3 very large rod benders lost, plenty of runs lots of activity and to cap the session got a breakfast brought to me which made my day.
Homemade baits, most fish caught with no grounbait or particles whatsoever, just hookbait, smashing place if fished sensibly.
Ps I am only a beginner so sorry did not have any scales

fished here recently . its hard to know wat works best here . all bottom baits balanced , pop ups and zigs fished and had one ghosty in two seperate 48 hours.and only two runs loosing one. one thing i did notice , the clear flouro hook link looks much better than the coated stuff on the bottom ,but found out too late so ill be going again in oct and will give that a try . the lake fished poor with only 2 fish out in 48 i was there 14 and 20lb ghostys.after walking round i think fishing on your own on a peg on the sunny side (22 to 36) being real quiet off the top in among the lillys will defo work. good luck chaps!

ok ok about the 49lb fish ther is 1 or 2 big fish in there as i have seen um and ive ad fish to 48.8 mir and 39.8 com.not in england so i know wat big fish look like,the big 1 will go about 40ish ive seen it wish it was on the bank tho but its not been out for a very long time think about 15yrs.this is not a runs water fished ther all winter for 1 fish 15lb com in a minus5,since then ive ad 10 fish upto 19.8 but av not fished there for 2mths but will be back soon.tight lines and smelly sacks tommo.

fished this lake 75 times and never had a fish only to realise the batteries were flat on my bite alarms thought things were quiet. new batteries installed so get ready

thinking of fishing newbridge lake any tips , is it fishing well / is there a good heas of fish / or is it talk, talk, with no fish

fished tuesday 07 may till thursday had 4 fih biggest 16lb 3oz lost 2 or 3 in lillies, great fishing fished wit mr pears who blanked again ! he was so pissed off he dint get no bream bless lol

now then skip its fishing well ma mate is always catching outa there i cant catch anything aint seen a carp2010 part from all the ones my mae catches am going to have to start listenin and taking some lessons off him coz im shit ! lol

after a gruelling harsh winter on newbridge my luck turned yesterday morning as i bagged a new lake record cmoooon get in setty weighing in at 33lb 8oz.couldnt have been a better reward many thanks to lance and michelle they run a brilliant speciemen lake with onsite shop bait shop plus always willing to point you in the right direction this lake is by no means a runs water but the fish over compensate with the massive distinctive fish on offer.tight lines craig sett

was a brilliant 2 nights fishing me and my brother bagged the lake record on wednesday morning 14/04/2010 with a weight of 33lb 8 oz he nows gets to name the fish and gets a 30 plus hoodie photos will be upload as soon as michelle recives them

the pond is ace and ive caught and nobchease needs to get alife.

all right lads how much is this fisherie to fish and is it worth a 2.5 hour trip to fish it like lads

the lake is full of dead cats legs and smells of pissy steaks

i have never fished newbridge b4 n wanted to giv it ago wud u say its a boiley fishery or a seed fishery or do they both work. and how is it fishing of late.

wot boiles do u use? have u been lately if yes whats the pond fishing like?

boilies are the treat for the pond. they work like wonders. ........ if i was to choose wat pond to go to id pick newbridge again.

don't forget the margins,look for clean bottom under snags and feed sparingly, acouple of handfulls of hemp and half a dozen of ur favourite baits usually does the trick, take time to look around, the big ones sometimes give themselves away.

dont forget the margins later on about 8pm

thanks tiger thats a great help ive pulled peg 18/19 with my m8 so hoping that will pay off, i like my chilli boilies anyway with small bags so i will give it a go and see wot happens! garlic spam will be the boy a hope lol... happy carping

lee just use 5 to 10 hot chillyi boilies around your hookbait, fished over a bed of chilli hemp
dont overfeed them with boilies and you will catch
this is a very good lake for 10 to 15 llb carp
the big ones realy show mate ,so dont be disapointed if you dont get owt big first 3 to 4 times you fish
keep at it and you will score big

i like it there because i caught my first and biggest ghost carp when fishing in one of the little lakes !!! :)

49lb Mirror In Newbridge!!!!!!!!! The Yorkshire record is still 49lb 3oz caught from Sally Walsh's Dam in 2003 so i am finding that rather difficult to swallow.
