been told this is syndicate pondis this true? thanks
Just spent the fri/sat of easter weekend at this venue, cant fault the place, fished normans lake friday from 4pm till 8pm took 3 good carp and lots of good roach, plus a nice tench, saturday morning fished the carp lake ,again some good carp coming to the net, saturday afternoon back on normans lake 4 carp all between 5lb and 9lb lots of silver fish and a cracking crucian carp to end the day. Most of these fish were taken on a mixture of maggots and cubed meat.stayed on the venues camp site which is clean and tidy,as i have said i cant fault this place, good fishing, good camping, the owner and all the staff very friendly, and the cafe does a great bacon, egg and sausage bun,and they dont over price the food, great week end had by us.
excellent pond, well stocked had a great weekend with my friends on the pond. biggest we caught was 24lb. just restocked with another x50 C5s so cant wait to have another weekend here. May not suit the hardened carp angler as there are still lots of teens on this pond but there are no 6/7lb fish that is just a fishermens tales. disagree with all of the comments above. it is not a syndicate lake and you can fish on it as long as you can prove you are not a muppet and have the right gear. great facilities, great ponds, excellently run. couldnt recommend it highly enough.
i fished this lake and the owner is a total knob only shooting geese at back of me bivvie with a bullit gun and its just totally poor little carp not big yet????????????a speciamin lake think not
Not only that... The Bailiff's are absolute pratts! When fishing the Horseshoe they fish over the top of you without remorse! And if you advise them of this they simply laugh!
yes he has stocked his (q lake) the new specimen lake with the 6 to 14 llb carp out of the match lakes and spoiled it
now the specimen lads are catching 6 and 7 llb'ers all night
and cant get any sleep
we used to go here loads as the carp fishing was v good but the owner has taken all the double figure carp out of all the lakes to stock the syndicate lake and ruined the place in my opinion
